The Phoenix City Council denied a request to modify a Comprehensive Sign Plan for the OneAZ Credit Union building located at 2355 W. Pinnacle Peak Road. The applicant sought to increase the number of high-rise signs on the building from two to four, and to increase their height from 3 feet to 5 feet 6 inches, allowing them to be above the existing 56-foot height limit. The Planning Hearing Officer (PHO) had recommended denial of this request, citing that the additional signs were not necessary for building identification and that illumination from south-facing signs could adversely impact nearby residential properties. The City Council's action on July 2, 2025, formally ratified the PHO's recommendation, upholding the existing sign regulations.
