The Phoenix City Council approved an agreement with Chasse Building Team, Inc. to provide Construction Manager at Risk Preconstruction and Construction Services for the Children's Museum of Phoenix Expansion project. This project involves renovating and upgrading approximately 28,000 square feet of unfinished spaces in the historic Monroe School Building. The goal is to transition these shell spaces into public exhibit, event, and support staff areas that comply with building codes. Chasse Building Team, Inc. will offer services including detailed cost estimating, project planning and scheduling, construction phasing, constructability studies, and assistance with permitting. They will also be responsible for preparing a Guaranteed Maximum Price proposal and selecting subcontractors. The agreement's value will not exceed $4 million, funded through General Obligation Bonds, and has a term of five years from the notice to proceed. Eleven firms submitted proposals for this project.
