The property has been continuously owned and operated by the Hansen Family for 75 years and was featured in the 2011 'Midcentury Marvels' publication. It was deemed eligible for listing on both the Phoenix Historic Property Register and the National Register for Historic Places. The Historic Preservation Commission, North Mountain Village Planning Committee, and Planning Commission all unanimously recommended approval for this rezoning.
