The City Council of Phoenix approved the abandonment of an existing sewer easement located on two properties, 5353 (Lot 10) and 5275 (Lot 13) E. City North Drive, and within the E. City North Drive private road. The sewer easement, originally recorded in the Final Plat for City North (Recording No. 20210787583, Book 1606, Page 3), was conditionally approved for abandonment. The applicant, Ryan Companies US, Inc., through Kaushik Gandhi, stated the easement is no longer required due to the future development plans for the site. The approval is subject to stipulations, including the relocation of all utilities by the affected utility companies at no cost to them, or retention of easement areas as public utilities easements with 24-hour vehicle maintenance access. All stipulations must be completed within two years of the conditional approval, which had an expiration date of October 29, 2026. No consideration fee was required for this abandonment, only filing fees were paid.
