The City Council approved an agreement with TF Contracting Services LLC for Design-Bid-Build services for Local Drainage Mitigation Package 3, funded by ARPA, not to exceed $4,628,173. The work includes constructing storm drain improvements at multiple Phoenix locations: City of Phoenix Printing Services facility onsite storm water collection system, 18th Street storm drains from Earl Drive to Catalina Drive and to 16th Street, 23rd Avenue storm drains north of Indian School Road to Heatherbrae Drive, 48th Place and Flower Street storm drains, and re-paving 6,400 square yards of the City Clerk Customer Service Center parking lot. The scope involves installation of area drain catch basins, 18-inch to 30-inch storm drain pipes, manholes, catch basins, lateral pipes, reconstruction of water service lines, and fire hydrant work. The agreement term is 300 calendar days from Notice to Proceed with extensions for identified scopes. Though the low bid exceeded the engineer’s opinion of probable cost by over 10%, it was deemed fair and within budget.
