The Phoenix City Council passed Ordinance S-51860 accepting and dedicating two property interests on East Van Buren Street to facilitate public sidewalk and roadway improvements in District 8. The City will accept a sidewalk easement granted by the State of Arizona at 2500 E. Van Buren Street and a roadway deed granted by Senior Bridge LLC at 2853 E. Van Buren Street. The sidewalk easement is recorded under MCR 20250140232, dated March 14, 2025, and the roadway deed under MCR 20250146994, dated March 18, 2025. These property interests satisfy the Planning and Development Department’s Single Instrument Dedication Process requirement prior to issuing permits. Accepting these interests ensures the necessary right-of-way for upcoming pedestrian and traffic safety enhancements along East Van Buren Street. District 8 improvements will now proceed unimpeded by property interest constraints. The ordinance directs the Records Division to file the instruments and adds the easement and deed to the City’s official land records.
