The Phoenix Planning and Development Department conditionally approved the abandonment of an 8-foot-wide portion of the 33-foot public right-of-way abutting 4602 East Calle Del Medio to the west. The request was made by Greenman Law on behalf of property owner Jordan Greenman to consolidate the unused portion of right-of-way with the abutting residential parcel. Multiple city departments reviewed the proposal and found no conflicts with existing utilities, provided stipulations to retain utility easements and maintain a minimum half-street width, and required an easement for water services and public utilities. The abandonment approval is subject to relocating utilities or retaining public utility easements, completion of legal descriptions, and retention of 25-foot minimum half-street width, with stipulations to be completed within two years. Upon satisfying conditions, the request will be forwarded to City Council for formal adoption.
