This report requests the Economic Development and Housing Subcommittee recommend City Council approval to enter into a three-year membership agreement with Downtown Phoenix, Inc. for a fee of $330,000. Downtown Phoenix, Inc. (DPI) is a nonprofit entity that enhances the economic and cultural vitality of downtown Phoenix by coordinating activities with affiliate organizations, expanding special events, and facilitating net new sales tax revenues. The City has utilized DPI since 2013 as a liaison to downtown organizations and for providing public entertainment opportunities. The City receives six positions on the DPI Board of Directors as part of this agreement. The new agreement term will be from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2028, with an annual fee of $110,000, totaling $330,000. Funding for the agreement is available in the Downtown Community Reinvestment Fund, with no impact on the General Fund.
