The Phoenix City Council approved the voluntary acquisition of property at 310-314 S. 29th Street for the expansion of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. The 1.30-acre site, owned by Water & Environmental Technologies, L.L.C. (WET), consists of three parcels with an existing 26,000-square-foot industrial warehouse. The property is strategically located near the airport’s airfield fence line and adjacent to the Union Pacific Railroad main rail line. Following the acquisition, the Aviation Department will demolish the existing structures to facilitate airport infrastructure improvements. If negotiations fail, the city may pursue alternative acquisition methods in the future.
This acquisition supports Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport's expansion efforts, ensuring adequate land for future infrastructure projects and enhancing airport operations.
