The Louisville Metro Planning Commission recommended approval of a change in zoning from R-4 Single Family Residential to C-1 Commercial for properties located at 5862 New Cut Road and 7419 Star Lane, totaling approximately 4.3 acres. The proposal includes the development of a 7,381 SF retail structure for Auto Zone. The site will have access via New Cut Road. Additionally, a variance was approved to exceed the maximum front yard setback of 95 feet by up to 16.2 feet. The development plan also includes provisions for 20% tree preservation and a 30-foot parkway buffer. The recommendation to approve the change in zoning passed by a vote of 8-0.
