The Council appropriated $4,250 from the Neighborhood Development Fund—$2,500 from District 1; $500 each from Districts 16 and 20; and $250 each from Districts 2, 19, and 23—to the Louisville Metro Police Department for community outreach and officer support in the Second Division. Funds will cover materials and costs for events and programs such as "Meet the Beat Officer," holiday and seasonal activities, neighborhood meetings, crime prevention tools, Officer of the Month awards, and supplemental food or materials for families in need. Ordinance O-102-25 passed the Legislative Council on May 15, 2025, and takes effect upon enactment.
