Metro Council approved an ordinance authorizing the Louisville and Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD) to issue its Series 2025 Sewer and Drainage System Revenue and Revenue Refunding Bonds under the District’s Thirty-Fifth Supplemental Bond Resolution. The bonds, in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed the Maximum Principal Amount, will finance the construction and acquisition of system improvements, refund outstanding Program Notes, and refund or refinance prior bond series to achieve debt service savings, make required reserve deposits, and cover issuance costs. The ordinance also authorizes the District to undertake its Current Projects, reaffirms existing debt service adjustment covenants, and confirms that the Series 2025 Bonds are special limited obligations payable solely from District revenues. Passage satisfies Kentucky Revised Statutes’ public sale and legislative approval requirements and safeguards bondholder protections under the District’s General Bond Resolution.
