An ordinance appropriating $13,300 from District 20 Neighborhood Development Funds to the Louisville Metro Police Department to install two Flock Safety license plate recognition cameras in the Dunbar Springs and Silver Oaks subdivisions. The appropriation covers the full two-year subscription cost of $6,650 per neighborhood, including the annual recurring Flock Safety platform fee and a one-time implementation fee for site assessment, camera setup, and testing. The District 20 office contracted with LMPD to fund cameras in these two neighborhoods following an uptick in vehicle-related crime. After the two-year subscription expires, the local homeowners associations may opt to continue services at their own expense. The grant is subject to Council policies and takes effect upon passage and approval.
