The Louisville Metro Council approved the closure of a 25-foot-wide unnamed and unimproved public right-of-way, located east of Rehl Road and south of South Pope Lick Road. The subject area covers approximately 25,132.75 square feet and is associated with a future residential subdivision under case number 24-MSUB-0009. Hameron Properties III, LLC, the sole adjoining property owner, requested the closure. All affected public agencies reviewed and either approved or did not object to the closure. Staff determined the closure meets Plan 2040 goals regarding coordinated development and accessibility, and no public or private properties would be dispossessed of access or utility services. Utility easements will be maintained or relocated as necessary.
The closure allows for efficient site planning and supports a forthcoming subdivision development while preserving public infrastructure access. It reflects coordinated infrastructure planning aligned with community growth and transportation objectives.
