The Housing and Homelessness Committee approved a recommendation to authorize the General Manager of the Los Angeles Housing Department (LAHD) to negotiate and execute a four-year contract with the Liberty Hill Foundation. The contract, for an amount not to exceed $14,885,713, is to administer the United to House LA (ULA) Capacity-Building and Outreach Program. This program aims to support tenant leadership, governance, and ownership models in affordable housing. The services provided by the contractor will include designing models of resident governance/management and ownership, conducting outreach and engagement, providing training and tools to residents, developers, and property managers, and monitoring compliance and evaluating program performance. The funding for this program comes from revenue collected from Measure United to House LA (ULA). This recommendation is now submitted to the City Council for consideration.
