The City Council of Los Angeles authorized the City Administrative Officer (CAO) to develop and submit the application for the Homeless Housing, Assistance and Prevention Program Round Six (HHAP-6) grant. This action allows the City to seek $143,640,000 from the State to fund its Regionally Coordinated Homelessness Action Plan. The CAO is tasked with preparing a draft application, including eligible uses and a funding plan, and reporting to the Council prior to the August 29, 2025 deadline. Additionally, the CAO will work with the Chief Legislative Analyst and City Attorney to review and secure approval for the associated memorandum of understanding (MOU). The Los Angeles Housing Department and the Bureau of Homelessness Oversight will be involved in the application process.
