The City Council authorized the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) to apply for and accept up to $9 million in funds from the Carl Moyer Memorial Air Quality Standards Attainment Program. These funds are designated for bus electrification infrastructure at the Washington Bus Maintenance Yard, also known as the Washington Yard Microgrid Project. The authorization includes executing necessary funding and contractual documents for accepting the grant funds. Additionally, the LADOT and the City Administrative Officer are instructed to report back to the Council upon award, detailing the amount and any further funding or resources required, including the sufficiency of Proposition A funds for matching and front funding. The LADOT reported no impact to the General Fund, with Proposition A Fund 385 able to provide necessary matching and front funds.
