An ordinance was introduced by the Land Use and Zoning Committee to rezone approximately 16.74± acres at 4899 Belfort Road, at the southeast corner of the intersection of Belfort Road and J. Turner Butler Boulevard. The property, owned by Jacksonville Butler Propco, LLC, is currently zoned Industrial Business Park (IBP) District. The proposed rezoning is to Planned Unit Development (PUD) District to permit business park uses. The rezoning is consistent with the 2045 Comprehensive Plan and is not in conflict with the City's land use regulations. The Planning Commission made an advisory recommendation to the Council. The ordinance includes a disclaimer stating that the rezoning does not grant exemption from other applicable local, state, or federal laws, regulations, requirements, permits, or approvals.
