The City Council of Jacksonville approved Application WRF-25-6, a waiver of minimum road frontage requirements for two lots located at 1991 Faye Road, in a Residential Rural-Acre (RR-Acre) zoning district. The application, filed by property owner Brian Johnson, requested to reduce the minimum road frontage from 160 feet to 120 feet. The Planning and Development Department provided an advisory recommendation, and the Land Use and Zoning Committee held a public hearing. The Council found that granting the waiver was appropriate due to practical or economic difficulties and would not diminish property values, interfere with others' rights, or be detrimental to public health, safety, or welfare, while ensuring adequate vehicular access. The application was approved with a vote of 17-0 by the City Council on August 26, 2025.
