The City Council approved an ordinance appropriating $21,831,956.17 in tax increment revenue payments from Houston Community College, Harris County, Fort Bend County, and Aldine ISD. This ordinance authorizes the transfer of these tax increment revenues to various Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) funds and redevelopment authorities as per interlocal agreements. Specifically, $65,395.65 will be transferred to the General Fund for TIRZ administrative costs, $330,514.20 to Harris County's Community Services Department for affordable housing, and $21,436,046.32 will be paid to various redevelopment authorities on behalf of the TIRZs. The funds are designated for Reinvestment Zones One (Lamar Terrace Zone), Two (Midtown Zone), Three (Main Street/Market Square Zone), Eleven (Greater Greenspoint Zone), Fifteen (East Downtown Zone), Eighteen (Fifth Ward Zone), Twenty (Southwest Houston Zone), Twenty-Three (Harrisburg Zone), and Twenty-Five (Hiram Clarke Fort Bend Zone).
