The city of Denver is amending an agreement with Brothers Redevelopment, Inc. to extend and expand the Temporary Rental and Utility Assistance (TRUA) program. This resolution adds nearly $3.7 million from a combination of Affordable Housing Funds ($1,299,685), General Funds ($950,000), and ARPA Interest funds ($1,450,000). The total contract amount is now $9,699,685. The contract is also extended by 12 months, with a new end date of December 31, 2026. The TRUA program provides rental, utility, and relocation assistance to households earning up to 80% of the area median income (AMI) who are facing financial hardship. The additional funding is projected to serve an estimated 1,950 households.
