The City of Denver has approved a three-year, $763,694 contract with ZoZo Group LLC to advance its Green Fleet Maintenance Strategy. This initiative will provide comprehensive Electric Vehicle (EV) training for all city fleet technicians and managers, funded by the Climate Protection Fund. The program includes a training needs assessment, the development of a facility upgrade strategy for maintenance bays, and hands-on training for staff to handle high-voltage systems safely. The city, which plans to double its EV fleet from 95 to 190 by 2027, aims to have 100% of assessed fleet staff trained within two years. This initiative is designed to build internal capacity, reduce reliance on outsourcing for EV repairs, and support the city's climate action goals.
