The City and County of Denver approved a three-year, $50 million on-call contract with Concrete Express, Inc. for large civil construction services. This agreement is one of eight similar contracts, part of a larger $400 million initiative to establish a pool of qualified prime general contractors. Denver's Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) will utilize these contractors for a variety of improvements within the city's right-of-way. The scope of work is broad, including roadway and intersection construction, bike lanes, sidewalks, bridge maintenance, traffic signal installation, and storm and sanitary sewer projects. The contract is task-order based, meaning funds are authorized as needed for specific projects rather than being committed upfront.
