The Denver City Council approved a three-year, $50 million on-call contract with Ames Construction, Inc. This agreement is one of eight awarded under the 2025 Large General Civil On-Call Construction Services program, which has a total capacity of $400 million. Managed by the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI), the program establishes a pool of pre-qualified prime contractors to streamline the execution of various infrastructure projects throughout the city. The scope of work includes roadway and intersection construction, bike lane and sidewalk improvements, pavement rehabilitation, traffic signal installation, and storm and sanitary sewer upgrades. Eight firms were selected from nineteen proposals based on a competitive review process, with each contract carrying a 12% Minority/Women-owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) participation goal.
