The City and County of Denver is set to approve a $2,000,000 grant agreement with the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG). This funding, part of the EPA's Climate Pollution Reduction grant program, is intended to support Denver's ambitious goal of eliminating carbon emissions from its buildings by the year 2040. The grant, which runs through September 14, 2029, will be used by the Community Planning and Development department to increase staff capacity, streamline permitting systems, and offer technical assistance for decarbonization efforts.
