The Denver City Council approved an $8,000,000 professional services contract with Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services, LLC. The contract, which runs until the end of 2030, is for the procurement and management of a Rolling Owner Controlled Insurance Program (ROCIP). This insurance program will cover all new construction projects and contractors involved in the next phase of the National Western Center redevelopment. The comprehensive insurance plan includes Workers' Compensation, General Liability, Excess Liability, and other necessary coverages for projects such as the new equestrian center, a hotel, and a parking garage. By consolidating insurance under a single program, the city aims to secure better coverage terms, reduce costs, enhance workplace safety, and streamline the claims process for the large-scale, multi-year construction effort.
