The Denver City Council approved a Second Amendatory Agreement with The St. Francis Center (SFC) to extend their contract for operating a non-congregate shelter at the Comfort Inn. The amendment adds $775,000 to the contract for a new total of $6,975,000 and extends the service period by three months, through March 31, 2026. This facility provides 136 units of shelter and programmatic services aimed at helping individuals experiencing homelessness find stable, permanent housing. The program is based on a low-barrier, Housing First model, offering 24/7 support, case management, meals, and connections to community resources. The final decision was approved by the council on November 24, 2025.
