The Denver City Council approved a second amendment to its contract with The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless (CCH) for the citywide Respite Care Program. The amendment adds $480,040.00 to the contract for a new total of $1,680,133.00 and extends the contract term by one year to December 31, 2026. The program provides essential shelter and recovery services for individuals experiencing homelessness who have medical needs that require a safe environment post-hospitalization, such as after surgery or during an illness. CCH provides these services at the Stout Street Recuperative Care Center and other sites, offering around-the-clock support, case management, and pathways to permanent supportive housing.
