The City of Denver is processing an amendment to its contract with The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless (CCH). The amendment adds $480,040 to the contract for a new total of $1,680,133 and extends the term by one year to December 31, 2026. This funding supports the Respite Care Program, which serves individuals experiencing homelessness who need a safe place to recover after being discharged from a hospital. The program operates at the Stout Street Recuperative Care Center and other approved sites, providing 14 dedicated beds. Services include 24/7 support for acute medical needs, behavioral health support, case management, and assistance with transitioning to permanent housing.
