The City Council approved an ordinance to relinquish three public easements located at 263 North Josephine Street in Denver, CO. These easements were originally established by Ordinance No. 50 (1954), Ordinance No. 253 (1956), and Ordinance No. 728 (1978), pertaining to a portion of the public alley in Block 64 of Harman's Subdivision. The Manager of Improvements and Parks of the City and County of Denver found that the public use and necessity no longer required these specific alley portions. The relinquishment is conditional, reserving the City and County of Denver's rights to construct, operate, maintain, and remove existing and future utility infrastructure, including sewers, water, electric, telephone, and gas lines, within the vacated easement areas. This action allows for the potential repurposing or full private integration of the affected land parcels while ensuring essential public utility access is preserved.
