The Mayor's reappointment of Alex Barakos to the Colfax Ave Business Improvement District (BID) board for a term from September 1, 2025, through August 31, 2028. The Colfax Ave BID aims to create a dynamic and inclusive community along the Colfax corridor through increased marketing, visibility, cleaner and safer streets, streetscape improvements, and partnerships. Alex Barakos, General Manager of Pete's Restaurants, has been involved with his family's restaurants on Colfax for nearly 60 years and seeks to bring a new perspective to cultivating a vibrant Colfax Avenue. The appointment requires City Council confirmation.
