The Denver City Council confirmed the Mayor's appointment of Matthew Hubbard to the Old South Gaylord Business Improvement District (BID) board for a term from September 1, 2025, through August 31, 2028. The BID, established in 1990, is responsible for managing street renovations and is funded by commercial property owners on South Gaylord Street between East Tennessee and East Mississippi Avenues. Hubbard, who is currently the Board President and a local business owner, was among several candidates considered for the three-year term appointment by the Mayor, which requires City Council confirmation.
