The Denver City Council approved the vacation of a 1,620 square-foot (0.037-acre) portion of an alley abutting 190 North Saint Paul Street, 162 North Saint Paul Street, 3160 East 2nd Avenue, and 165 North Steele Street, with reservations. This right-of-way vacation, applied for by 2nd & Steele, LLC, enables the property owner to combine the parcels on either side of the alley and construct a single mixed-use building for retail and multi-family housing. The alley vacation is subject to perpetual, non-exclusive easements reserved by the City and County of Denver for existing and future public and private utilities. Additionally, a new alley was dedicated to provide continued access to a proposed parking garage for the new multi-family housing development. Utilities such as sanitary sewer, electric lines, and cable TV lines within the vacated area are to be removed.
