The City and County of Denver approved a contract with Milender White Construction Co. for $25,000,000 to provide integrated construction services for the citywide Sidewalk Program. This program stems from a citizen-led ballot initiative in November 2022, known as Denver Deserves Sidewalks and Ordinance 307, which shifted responsibility for sidewalk construction and repair to the City, funded by property owner fees. The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) will issue task orders for preconstruction, construction procurement, construction, and construction management services. This contract is for three years and is one of two such contracts awarded to support the initial implementation of the Sidewalk Program. The contract is financed through the Sidewalk Enterprise Fund.
