An ordinance was approved to relinquish an easement, in its entirety, that was established in the Deeds of Dedication (Reception No. 2024043744) at 2833 Welton Street. The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) found that the public use, convenience, and necessity no longer require the easement. The property owner, 2821 Welton Street Investment, LLC, is in the process of developing the area and had prematurely recorded the Deeds of Dedication prior to obtaining City and County of Denver approval. The relinquishment was recommended by DOTI and reviewed by the City Attorney's Office, which found no legal objection. Various city departments, including Asset Management, City Forester, Denver Water, Fire Department, and Parks & Recreation, indicated no objection. The City Council passed the bill on July 28, 2025, and it awaits the Mayor's signature.
