The Denver City Council approved an Official Map Amendment to rezone the properties at 4634 and 4638 North York Street in the Elyria Swansea neighborhood from E-TU-B to U-RH-2.5 on April 15, 2025. The rezoning was unanimously recommended by the Planning Board and followed extensive community engagement including written notices to adjacent properties, Registered Neighborhood Organization notifications, and a meeting with Councilman Watson. The change modifies the allowable density and development standards, enabling up to 2.5 dwelling units per lot. Letters were distributed to neighbors and RNOs per city requirements, with minimal feedback and no opposition received. The ordinance (CB25-0335) was prepared by the City Attorney's office and will be recorded in the Denver County real property records.
