This resolution authorizes a contract with Concrete Works of Colorado, Inc. for storm drainage and roadway improvements on Ellsworth Avenue between Madison Street and Garfield Street in Denver’s Council District 5. The contract has a capacity of $3,838,248.72 with a term of NTP + 240 days. The work includes installation of storm mains (24"–36" RCP and 53" × 34" HERCP), laterals, manholes, and inlets to intercept storm flows. Ellsworth Avenue will be regraded and repaved to address ponding and icing issues. Additional scope includes waterline adjustments, sidewalk, curb and gutter, curb ramp, and driveway improvements. The contractor was competitively selected and meets a 14.03% WBE/MBE/DBE participation requirement. Subcontractors include Chacon Paving, Inc. (12.61%) and Double K Trucking, LLC (1.42%). Funding is from source 72700 / PC708 / C5061000 / PRJ-10003571. This is a new contract, not an amendment.
